A successful week of Paralympic proportions and award nominations

September 5, 2012

We have embraced the spirit of the Paralympic Games here at Red Box after being involved with events to celebrate the Paralympic Flame visiting our client West Cheshire College last week.

The weekend of activities started when College student and Ellesmere Port Flame Ambassador Josh Dunn collected the flame from London where he met the Prime Minister and Boris Johnson before bringing the flame back to the North West for a media opportunity in Manchester.

Josh had a Q&A with Olympic swimmer Steve Parry on the stage in front of hundreds of onlookers and was interviewed by BBC North West Tonight, Real Radio, Radio Merseyside and Dee 106.3.

On Saturday 25th August, the Flame was carried through Ellesmere Port by nominated Flamebearers before coming to West Cheshire College for the main celebration event. Thousands of people came to see and hold the Paralympic lantern and crowds were entertained by official Paralympic mascot Mandeville, wheelchair fencer Adrian Derbyshire and the day ended with a mix of 6ft mascots battling it out in a mascot race.

Also we wanted to congratulate our client, specialist technical recruitment consultancy Integra People, who have been shortlisted for Medium Business of the Year at this year’s Cheshire Business Awards. Integra won Small Business of the Year in the 2010 ceremony, so we are hoping for the same success this year.

Integra have also just launched their brand new website after undergoing a complete redevelopment after expanding into different industry sectors. Take a look at the website at: and let us know what you think.
