The company’s Web Developer and one of their IT Support Engineers recently undertook the Apprenticeship through West Cheshire College to strengthen their skills and improve their knowledge.

Steve Birks, Managing Director of Ten Ten Systems, said: “We decided to put two members of staff through the training as I wanted to improve the skills of the workforce and for them to be recognised for their achievements.

“It has benefitted our staff who have since taken on more responsibility, developed their knowledge and their communication skills have dramatically improved.

“In my opinion, having training is essential for our business. In the past we have taken on people in junior positions who had basic IT knowledge but didn’t develop to a skill level necessary for this role.”

Ten Ten Systems is in the process of recruiting a Level 2 IT Support Apprentice which will cover basic IT skills, building PCs for repair and network services and a Level 3 Digital and Social Media Apprentice which will cover marketing the company and updating the company’s website and social media sites.

Steve added: “Appointing Apprentices means that we can appoint fresh people at grass roots level who have an interest in IT and we can train them around the way we work. I think that Apprenticeships are an ideal way to train your future workforce as you can mould them to the style of the company.

“We have worked with the College before to deliver our training so we didn’t hesitate to use them as our training provider for our Apprentices. We have a great partnership with them and they are very helpful and offer flexible services created around the needs of our business.”
