The students, studying BTEC National Diploma in Art and Design and Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, organised the Goddess Olympia Fashion Show at the College’s Ellesmere Port Campus.

Lauren White, 19, from Chester, who showed her collection, said: “I decided on a Tim Burton theme after developing a strong interest in his films. I created two quirky evening dresses which used alternative fabrics and embroidery.

“I also used accessories such as gloves and chocker necklaces, plus a veil to create a corpse bride.

“The fashion show was my final project for my Foundation Degree in Art and Design and I have been working for six weeks on this project. I’ve enjoyed it so much that I am coming back in September to study the HND course in Art and Design.”

Art tutor at West Cheshire College, Pete Foster, said: “The end-of-year fashion show was a great event and some of the collections on display were fantastic. The students have worked so hard putting on the fashion show and their hard work certainly paid off.

“I’m sure the students will receive outstanding results to reflect the high standards of work.”

West Cheshire College are currently recruiting for their Art and Design courses including ABC Diploma in Visual Art Level 3 - only one enrolment and the BTEC L1 foundation learning Diploma in Art, Design and Media, for more information call the College hotline on 01244 656 555 or visit
