Students picked as faces for new advertising campaign

June 23, 2014

Four students from West Cheshire College have become the stars of the College’s new summer advertising campaign.

The campaign #inspiringTALENT features Radha Evans, Jordan Wallis, Zeineb Saleh and Richard Drummond and their faces will soon be popping up across the region on bus shelters, newspaper advertisements, poster sheets and ad vans.

Radha Evans, 17, from Little Sutton is studying the BTEC Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism at the College. She said: “I really love studying at the College so it’s amazing to see my face on the new advertising campaign.

“Through the course I’ve gained some fantastic experiences – I’ve already been to Paris and also went on a cruise to Spain, France and Italy. When I finish I’m hoping to either get a job working for an airline or possibly for a travel agents.”

Richard Drummond, 19, from Wrexham is completing an Apprenticeship in Joinery working for Chester based Hassell Homes.

Richard said: “It was great to be asked to be involved with the College’s new advertising campaign. For me, doing an Apprenticeship means I get the best of both worlds. I get hands-on experience and can back it up with theory work at College.

“I’m currently working on a project with my mum to redevelop a house and then rent it out. My long-term career goal is to start a family business in property development.”

Other faces of the campaign are Zeineb Saleh, 19, from Chester who is studying the BTEC Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment and Jordan Wallis, 17, from Ellesmere Port who is studying the BTEC Extended Diploma in Musical Theatre and Dance.

The campaign focuses on the four key strengths of studying at the College - learn, experience, succeed and grow – all of which help to inspire the talent of young people in the region. As well as the four main stars, the campaign also features some of the College’s most inspiring and successful students who have already gone on to achieve success professionally and personally.

The College is encouraging everyone to get involved in the campaign so if you spot any wristbands, t-shirts or adverts with the College’s strapline #inspiringTALENT on, take a photograph and upload it onto the College Instagram site westccollege or Tweet @westccollege.
