Need careers advice? Visit West Cheshire College

January 31, 2013

Following a recent report from a group of MPs criticising the careers advice available through schools, young people are being reminded about the help available at West Cheshire College.

Anybody looking for advice on future decisions can visit West Cheshire College’s careers advisors

West Cheshire College has a team of careers advisors that can help discuss the different options available to young people. The service, part of the National Careers Service, is available to anybody -whether they are intending to come to College, stay on at school, get a job or start an Apprenticeship.

The experienced team provides one-to-one expert and impartial careers advice - ensuring young people are informed and empowered to make the right decision for their style of learning and future career ambitions.

Steven Jones, from Wirral, who met with the College’s careers advisers, said: “I’ve never really had any good careers advice in the past.

“I sat down with an adviser at College and spoke to them about what I was interested in doing and discussed my career goals. The team really helped me and outlined about three courses that I might be interested in.

“I have now applied to university to study marine engineering and in the future my goal is to work abroad.”

If you would like any advice on your future decisions, then just pop in and talk to a College Advisor or call 01244 656 440 to book an appointment.
