Alena said: “I really enjoyed my time at College and my tutor was amazing. It was because of him that I got on my university course.”

Alena went on to achieve a First-class honours degree in fashion design at Liverpool John Moores University, “When I finished my degree in 2011, I exhibited my collection at Graduate Fashion Week in London and had a stand at the Liverpool Design Show.

“I entered a competition and was chosen as one of 10 designers to exhibit my collection at the Who's Next Prêt-à-Porter trade show in Paris infront of buyers and fashion journalists from across the world.

“As a result of the show, I gained a customer from Kuwait who commissioned me to design a €30k exclusive collection for her.”
