Flash mob surprises students

February 4, 2013

Performing arts students from West Cheshire College surprised their peers when they put on a flash mob drama performance in the College’s Ellesmere Port Campus rotunda.

West Cheshire College surprised their peers when they put on a flash mob drama performance at lunchtime.

The ‘Push the Button’ performance took place at lunchtime and involved 42 students currently studying a range of Level 2 and Level 3 drama courses.

The surprise routine featured a shoplifting scene at the College’s retail shop; a stage combat routine with a dance off plus a wedding and a birth!

Paul Moss, Programme Leader in Performing Arts at West Cheshire College, said: “It was a great experience for our students to be involved in a different kind of performance. We are always coming up with new and exciting things for our students to be involved in.

“The reaction from the onlookers was fabulous, as it went on more and more staff and students came to watch. By the end of it we had attracted the attention of the whole College.”

West Cheshire College offers a range of performing arts courses including Acting (theatre and performance); Acting (TV and film) and Technical Theatre.

The College’s drama department has some taster sessions at their Ellesmere Port Campus for anyone looking to enrol onto a course including:

A devising workshop on Saturday 23rd February 2013 between 11am-2pm.

A stage combat workshop on Saturday 20th April 2013 between 11am-2pm.
