West Cheshire College is hosting a Careers Open Evening on Thursday 6 November 3-7pm at its Ellesmere Port Campus.


The event will be a one stop shop for anybody wanting help and advice about different career opportunities available through studying, doing an Apprenticeship or employment.

Employers from the region are also invited to the event to showcase their employment opportunities including Vauxhall, Chester Zoo, National Waterways, Cheshire Fire and Rescue, Adecco, ScottishPower and RAF already confirmed to be attending.

Helen Nellist, Vice Principal at West Cheshire College, said: “Our Careers Open Evening will provide people with all of the information they need to understand the different careers available to them.

“This could be studying a new full-time or part-time course, starting an Apprenticeship or securing a new job.

“Our tutors and Apprenticeship team will also be available to provide detailed information about the courses we offer and what it is like to study at West Cheshire College.”

Visitors will have the chance to speak to tutors about full-time and part-time courses in: Applied, Medical and Forensic Science; Art and Design; Business; Childcare; Computing and IT; Construction and Building Services; Engineering and Motor Vehicle; Fashion, Promotion and Retail; Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy; Health and Social Care; Hospitality and Catering; Media and Games Development; Performing Arts and Music; Public Services; Sport; Travel and Tourism.

There will also be an opportunity to find out more about Apprenticeships and to apply for live vacancies.

There are still places for employers to have a stand at the event to meet local people and promote job vacancies.
