Dance students put on a performance with a twist

June 13, 2014

Students from West Cheshire College are putting on a performance of the fantasy tale Alice in Wonderland but with an exciting rock ballet twist.

Over 50 students, who are studying a mix of BTEC Extended Diplomas and HNC and HND courses in dance, music, technical theatre and event planning, are joining forces to put on the performance at the College’s Ellesmere Port Campus from Monday 24 March to Thursday 27 March at 7pm.

Sharon Brown, Assistant Manager in Performing Arts at West Cheshire College, who is directing the Musical Ballet, said: “All of the students from the different courses have joined forces and worked together to put together a fantastic performance.

“I decided to put a twist on this classic story by producing choreography to create a rock ballet. This provided them with a challenge to achieve their full potential as performers.

“It will be a show which is fun for all the family and exciting from start to finish.”

Tickets are £8 each with no concessions and all performances begin at 7pm. To book tickets call the Box Office on 01244 656500.

West Cheshire College offers a range of performing arts courses from music, acting, performing arts, technical theatre and events management and promotions.
