Apprentices land their perfect career

March 28, 2013

Capenhurst holiday home search engine, Perfect Getaways, has recruited two new Apprentices scheme after its first two Apprentices secured full-time positions within the company.

Tom Curtis and Rebecca Hardman have landed jobs with Perfect Getaways

In June 2011, Perfect Getaways appointed Tom Curtis and Rebecca Hardman as creative and digital media Apprentices through West Cheshire College. Both successfully completed their Apprenticeship and were offered permanent positions within the company.

Tom is now employed as a Marketing Assistant and Rebecca has been appointed as a Client Services Executive. Due to the achievements of Tom and Rebecca, as well as the expansion of the business, Perfect Getaways has recently appointed two further Business Administration Apprentices, Matthew and Ebony.

Paula Evans, Director at Perfect Getaways, said: “I first learnt about the Apprenticeship scheme through an article in a local newspaper and it seemed an ideal and cost-effective way to help increase our productivity whilst providing some valuable experience to local young people.

“We have been extremely fortunate with the Apprentices we have had at Perfect Getaways as they have been very personable, hardworking and reliable with an excellent attitude to work.

“They have a fantastic attendance and time keeping record and have been involved in various areas of our business, gaining valuable work experience.”

Paula added: “I was so impressed by Tom and Rebecca that I didn’t hesitate to continue the Apprenticeship scheme and appoint Matthew and Ebony. I would recommend other businesses to take on Apprentices as they are perfect way to train your future workforce.”

The Apprenticeship scheme has also been very beneficial to both Tom and Rebecca and has provided them with invaluable opportunities.

Rebecca, 20, from Little Sutton, said: “Before starting my Apprenticeship I did my A Levels but decided against going to university because I didn’t think it was the right step for me. I chose an Apprenticeship as I wanted to get experience whilst gaining an extra qualification.

“I learnt so much from doing the Apprenticeship. I’m delighted to have gained a full-time role with the company, I wouldn’t have had this opportunity without the Apprenticeship.”
